Really? What kinds of foods? I know how to make the lanterns, but it's hard to get all of the traditional food ingredients here, and the garden isn't really productive yet.
In situations like this, it's better not to stress too much about little things. Besides, it's especially good for people my age to be exposed to new people and situations.

They do have contests for the decorations sometimes! And there were food stalls and floating lanterns-- everything was really colorful.

Typical festival foods, like taiyaki and yakisoba... oh, and soumen, but a lot of that would be hard to come by here. Like you said.

What about entertainment or performances? Someone mentioned games, but maybe we should also have music and dancing?
[Or a concert...]
no subject
Definitely!! I can sing! And I bet we have some musicians here too.

Maybe I can talk to Dave about what's needed in order to play his music. Is there a way to make it louder so everyone can hear it?
no subject
Yeah, there are speakers and amplifiers... they're not exactly easy to come by here, but Dave is probably the one to ask.

[You can put music in a box the size of your hand and listen to it whenever you want? Was Rion aware of this??]
no subject
I'll have Dave sit you down for a full lesson one day. It's kind of a lot.

Hey now, you don't look a day over 20.

That's very sweet of you to say, Rion. I think spending time with you must help keep me young.

I guess that's better than causing you gray hairs...
